Summer is officially here and along with those sprawling beach days and umbrella drinks (we can only hope), many of us strive to achieve those coveted beach waves. With the “wind blown hair, I don’t care” attitude, Summer just seems to be lighter and altogether carefree! If you’re like most of us, that spray and go Summer hair perfection just isn’t reality, so we’ve put together a how to video to show you how to nail your beach waves this summer!

Check it out here!

How to Summer Beach Waves:

  1. Blow dry or air dry your hair as usual.

  2. Depending on your hair length and preference, select the appropriate curling iron barrel size. As a general guide, for long hair (past your shoulders) consider a minimum barrel size of 1 1/4 or higher. For shorter hair, stick with 3/4″ or higher, but remember, the ultimate goal is to achieve loose beach waves, so don’t be afraid to use a larger barrel if you can.

  3. Section hair and curl 1 -2″ strands until you have curled all sections of your hair. For more relaxed waves, stop the curling iron halfway to the crown of your head. This will create a straight to wavy effect.

  4. Once all your hair has been curled, take a wide toothed comb and work it through your hair. This last step is essential to create a more relaxed, natural look.

Voila! Beautiful beach waves!
