Safety Guidelines

 These restrictions are set in place per the State of Connecticut and Health Board of our county as well as the staff and management of That Look for the safety of all staff and guests of That Look. 

  1. Only guests that have appointments will be allowed in the salon. Anyone who accompanies you during your hair appointment will be asked to wait either outside or in your vehicle. This includes children. If your child has an appointment, they must feel comfortable enough to sit in the building for the duration of the service by themselves as anyone accompanying them will be asked to wait outside or in their vehicle. If you need to schedule any appointments, we ask that you call the salon. No walk ins. 

  2. Capacity is limited. Only one guest is allowed per stylist. 

  3. Our waiting room is closed. Our stylists will call your cellphone from the salon when they are ready for you to enter the building and will greet you at the door. Upon entering you will be required to participate in a wellness check that consists of a few health questions and having your temperature taken. These questions will also be asked prior to your appointment when we make our confirmation calls. We reserve the right to refuse service if you are not well or answer yes to any of our wellness questions. Any temperature over 99.4 is considered a temperature and you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. We advise you to take your temperature at home before your appointment to avoid any cancellation charges. If you are sick or have come in contact with anyone that is sick, you need to reschedule your appointment and we ask that you please give us at least 24 hours’ notice so that we have ample time to fill your space. If you are any later than 10 minutes to your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment and may be subject to a charge.

  4. Guests will also be asked to wash hands or use hand sanitizer that the salon will provide upon entering the building. 

  5.  A loop face mask must always be worn while in the building. One that ties behind your head will not allow us to perform your hair service. We suggest you bring one that you do not mind getting dirtied or ruined with hair color. While we will do our best to keep this from happening, it cannot be guaranteed. No person is allowed in the building without a face mask. If you do not have a face mask or are worried about ruining the one you have, the salon will have them available to purchase for $3. If you have any reason or circumstance that prevent you from wearing a mask, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment to a later date when this restriction has been deemed safe to lift. This includes children. There are NO exceptions. 

  6. Please bring only what you need for your appointment (keys, form of payment, cell phone if necessary). Our coffee bar and refreshment station are closed. No outside food or drink is allowed. Water will be available upon request and a staff member will bring it to you. Magazines will no longer be offered. 

  7. Limit conversations with other guests and no conversation on your cell phone is permitted unless necessary. 

  8. The services that will not be available until further notice are as follows: 

    • No blow drying unless necessary for the service that use certain products that require heat (ex. Chemical services). We will not be offering our shampoo/ blow-dry service. 

  9. Partitions will be up in areas where social distancing is difficult. Handwashing stations will be marked, and hand sanitizer will be available. Social distancing marks of 6 feet will be visible to all guests. Sanitation between every guest will be performed by all staff. All stylists are required to wear face shields or goggles, as well as masks. 

  10. If you would like to purchase any retail, you can discuss this with your stylist or technician. They will pick it out for you and have it ready for you at the end of your service. Browsing our inventory is prohibited at this time. If you do not have an appointment and would like to purchase a product, we can do so over the phone and set up a time for curbside pickup.

  11. All forms of payment accepted for your service. If you wish to give your stylist or technician a gratuity, we ask that you bring cash and will provide an envelope for you to give it to them in. 

  12. While we are not prohibiting anyone in this category, please be advised that the state recommends anyone that is high risk, immune compromised or age 65 and older should not be patronizing the salon at this time.
