Hi, I'm Shirley.  I Graduated from Montville High School then attended State College of Cosmetology in Detroit MI.  I worked as an apprentice and trained with a Master Stylist in Troy MI before returning to CT in 1985.  I worked in Waterford before opening Tutto Hair Salon in Uncasville, which I owned and operated for eight years.  I then opened Strands on Main in Niantic which I operated for two years before joining the team at That Look in 1995.

Cosmetic that you can’t do without: Lipstick, use for lips and as translucent blush.

Best hair styling tip: Apply clean lift on wet hair close to the scalp.  Work through the ends, blow dry with your head down for maximum volume.

Favorite Color: No color.... black & white

Best beauty secret: A smile goes a mile.

What sets me apart from the rest of the talent:  Early in my career I belonged to an organization called Ameri-Coif.  We held classes every other month with guest artists that included teams from Toni & Guy, Sasoon, Jingles and many others.  This early exposure and basic understanding of design and color techniques allows me to customize looks that are unique for each client.  I like to deliver looks that are easy to achieve and that suit your lifestyle.
